A Penny for Your Thoughts

In my first teacher education course at UMD, TLPL101, we taught a math lesson about groupings to a 5th grade class in Berwyn Heights Elementary School. The lesson plan and slides can be found at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_RNgKNuuOggFohYhwwjwiZtLeeMB9q3AHhgOWUuvduw/edit. Back to School Kit

In the beginning of my 4th grade school year, I received a back to school kit from my teacher, Ms. Leonard-Walker. This kit is representative of how caring and supportive Ms. Leonard-Walker was. Comic Scale Drawing

In Mr. Toy’s Algebra I class, we did a comic scale drawing project during our ratios and proportions unit. We chose a comic strip, divided it into sections with a grid, then illustrated the enlarged version on a large sheet of grid paper.

Take Your Child to Work Day

For those of us who participated in Take Your Child to Work Day, my elementary school teacher gave us an assignment to write a magazine article documenting our experience along with pictures.

Classroom Resources

In the kindergarten class I interned at, several classroom resources and organization techniques stood out to me:

After we read the Romeo and Juliet play in my AP English Language class, we created a Wanted Poster for a character in the play. Ideas for Future Assignments: “Missing” or “Lost” poster for human or animal characters Include character traits
